The dairy feed mill in Mexico project was invested and built by an agricultural company in Mexico, which operates a dairy factory and a large-scale dairy farm.

In order to ensure the quality and safety of milk and control the quality and cost of inputs, according to the requirements of feed production licensing management, it is necessary to build the front end of the industrial chain, that is, the feed supply link.

Therefore, in order to ensure the feed demand of the company's breeding base, based on Mexico's rich resources, good breeding industry foundation, and intensive labor, the client company decided to invest in the construction of a 150,000-ton annual ruminant feed production line construction project to achieve on-site conversion and value-added of feed resources such as grain. While meeting its own needs, some products will be sold to surrounding dairy farms.

The dairy feed mill in Mexico project will achieve large-scale production, improve the scale benefits of the company, reduce the unit operating and management costs of feed, and meet the development trend of the feed industry.

Mexico Project Process Design

During the operation period of the dairy feed mill in Mexico project, the products processed in the plant area are premixes, compound materials and flaked corn. The process flow is as follows:

Brief description of the process flow of cattle premixes:

The purchased raw materials, vitamins, trace elements, etc. of the dairy feed mill in Mexico project are unloaded to the grain unloading shed; then transported to the stainless steel powder sieve and permanent magnetic cylinder by bucket elevator for cleaning to remove impurities; then transported to the batching bin by distributor, weighed and transported to the mixer in proportion for full mixing; weighed and packaged by automatic packaging scale.

Brief description of the process flow of dairy cow feed:

  1. Raw material reception and cleaning: corn, barley, and soybean meal enter the silo after lifting, cleaning, and magnetic separation; DDGS, cottonseed meal, etc. enter the waiting silo and batching silo after lifting, cleaning, and magnetic separation;
  2. Raw material crushing: The raw materials (corn, barley, etc.) input into the crushing system enter the crusher for crushing;
  3. Batching and mixing: The crushed corn, barley, etc. are automatically weighed by the batching scale and then transported to the mixer (the mixing chamber is a sealed structure) through the conveyor and bucket elevator. The premix is fed into the mixer through the additive feeder (fully enclosed structure) and fully mixed with corn, barley, etc.;
  4. Granulation process: The evenly mixed materials enter the waiting silo, and the materials are steam-conditioned and then enter the cattle feed pellet making machine for pelleting. After cooling, pelletizing, grading and other processes, they are made into finished products. The pellets that need to be pelletized or crushed again are returned to the pelletizer for pelleting, and the pelletizer is used for pelleting.
  5. Finished product packaging: The finished product is automatically weighed by an automatic packaging scale, transported and sewn into packages, and then entered into the finished product warehouse.

Brief description of the process flow of dairy cow flaked corn:

In the flaked corn production process of this dairy feed mill in Mexico project, the corn is lifted and cleaned before entering the silo, and 8-10% water is added for 12-18 hours to allow the water to penetrate into the corn. The corn is then put into a stainless steel steamer and heated with 100-110℃ steam for 40-60 minutes.

Finally, the preheated flaking machine presses the soaked corn into corn flakes with a specific bulk density of 320-360g/L. After drying and cooling, it is the finished product. It is automatically weighed by an automatic packaging scale, transported and sewn into packages, and then entered into the finished product warehouse.
