This is a pet food manufacturing plant in Australia project. The customer mainly produces dog food. The customer purchased 120 main production equipment such as extruders, grinders, drying boxes, pet feed dryers, sprayers, etc. from RICHI MACHINERY to build a fully automatic pet food production line. The project has a labor quota of 30 people, three shifts, 8 hours per shift, and 300 days of work per year.
The customer of this pet food manufacturing plant in Australia project is an Australian pet feed factory.
In July 2023, it signed an agreement with RICHI to purchase 120 main production equipment such as pet food extruders, grinders, drying boxes, pet feed dryers, vacuum sprayers, etc., to build a fully automatic pet food production line. This project is the second pet feed processing project established by the customer company.
This is not the first cooperation between the customer and us. In 2019 and 2021, the customer successively purchased belt dryers and pet feed extruders from us to replace the equipment in its original project.
Based on the good operation of these two equipments, the customer sent us a consultation again in 2023 to establish his new project. After 3 months of negotiation, we finally won this high-end pet feed production line project of nearly 1.2 million US dollars.
The pet food manufacturing plant in Australia project purchases corn, meat meal, rice, wheat middlings, animal fats, protein powder, chicken liver and other raw and auxiliary materials for production and processing. The main processes include mixing, crushing, puffing, drying, etc. After the project is completed, it will produce 30,000 tons of pet food annually.

This project mainly constructs a production workshop with a construction area of 4432 square meters. The raw material warehouse and finished product warehouse are located in the west of the workshop, and the production area and packaging area are located in the east of the workshop.

The water used in this pet food manufacturing plant in Australia project is provided by the nearby pipeline network, and the water quality and quantity can meet the water demand of this project.
The heating tank of this project uses steam, which is provided by the nearby power plant; the water used mainly includes expansion water, equipment cleaning water and domestic water.
The fresh water consumption of the project is 8.2m3/d. Among them: expansion water: the water required for the expansion process of the project is 6m3/d; equipment cleaning water: the water consumption for equipment cleaning of the project is 0.4m3/d.
All the expansion water of the pet food manufacturing plant in Australia project enters the product, and no wastewater is generated; the equipment cleaning wastewater is directly used in production and is not discharged; the project wastewater is mainly domestic sewage.
And the amount of domestic sewage generated is calculated based on 80% of the water consumption, so the amount of domestic sewage generated is 1.76m3/d (528m3/a). The sewage is pre-treated in the septic tank and then discharged into the sewage treatment plant through the municipal sewage pipeline network for deep treatment.
