In 2023, the customer found that the existing vitamin premix feed products for laying hens could not meet market demand during the operation of the feed workshop, and the production technology had a low degree of automation and the environmental protection facilities were old.
Therefore, the customer invested 520,000 US dollars to build a "100,000 tons per year feed pellet processing project".
The project mainly uses the existing feed workshop to process the premix feed production line for annual processing, eliminates the original production equipment, comprehensively updates the production equipment, optimizes the production process, and upgrades the environmental protection facilities.
The existing traditional premix feed processing production process is transformed into a high-end automatic feed processing production process integrating crushing, batching, and granulation. The designed production capacity after the technical transformation is 100,000 tons of poultry feed pellets per year.
After the technical transformation, the labor quota of this technical transformation project is 30 people (the existing labor quota of the project is 60 people, and 30 people will be reduced after the technical transformation. A three-shift work system is implemented, with each shift working 8 hours, 300 working days per year, and an annual production time of 7200h.

The raw materials of the poultry feed processing plant in Venezuela project, corn and wheat, are stored in silos; auxiliary materials such as soybean meal, peanut meal, rice flour, flour and other powdered raw materials are stored in bagged warehouses.
After entering the factory, the granular raw materials corn and wheat are first weighed on the inspection scale, then unloaded at the discharge port, and sent to the corn silo and wheat silo respectively by a closed elevator. During production, corn and wheat fall from the lower port of their respective silos by gravity, and then are sent to the crushing section by a closed elevator.
Other bagged raw materials that need to be crushed (such as soybean meal, peanut meal, germ meal) are manually poured into the hopper and then sent to the crushing section by a closed elevator.
The raw materials that need to be crushed from the loading section (corn, wheat, soybean meal, peanut meal, germ meal) are lifted to the crushing section, first separated from the impurities by a permanent magnetic cylinder, and then enter the crushing bin.
The raw materials are sent from the crushing bin to the permanent magnetic drum to separate the iron impurities through the speed-adjusting screw, and then sent to the crusher for high-speed crushing. After crushing, they are sent to the closed elevator by the horizontal screw and lifted to the batching and mixing section.
After the materials from the crushing section are lifted to the batching section, they are first sent to the batching bin through the distribution plate. The materials in the batching bin are accurately batched according to the proportion using an automatic control system.
The prepared materials are automatically mixed in the mixer; raw materials that do not need to be crushed (such as purchased bagged raw materials: rice flour, flour, corn flour, multivitamins, glucose, etc.) are directly put into the auxiliary material bin from the auxiliary material port, and are transported to the granulation section together with other mixed materials through the elevator through the conveyor.
After the materials from the batching section are lifted to the granulation section, they are first separated from the impurities by the permanent magnetic drum and then enter the granulation bin.
The materials in the pelletizing bin enter the poultry feed pellet machine by gravity and are heated to 85℃ by high-temperature steam for pelleting. The steam comes from the steam boiler. The pelletizing process of the project is equipped with an automatic temperature control system. At the same time, the temperature is controlled by the outer jacket of the conditioner and the amount of steam introduced is adjusted.
During the pelletizing process, a large amount of heat is generated by the introduction of high-temperature and high-humidity steam and the extrusion of the materials.
As a result, the moisture content of the pellet feed reaches 16%-18% and the temperature is as high as 75℃-85℃ when it just comes out of the feed pelletizer. In order to reduce the moisture content and the temperature of the feed pellets, the pellets fall from the bottom of the pelletizer into the countercurrent cooler.
In the countercurrent cooler, cold air enters from the bottom of the cooler, exchanges heat with the pellets, and is filtered by the filter above the cooler before being discharged from the cooler.
The cooled pellets fall downward into the pellet crumbler by gravity for crushing. (For feeding chickens)
The feed crumbs are sent to the closed multi-stage flat rotary screen by the closed elevator for screening. The particles with too large particle size on the screen are sent to the pellet crumbler by the closed conveyor for crushing.
The particles with too small particle size under the screen are sent back to the pelletizing bin. The particles with particle size that meet the requirements are sent to the pellet finished product bin after being sprayed with oil by the closed auger.
The feed pellets in the pellet finished product bin fall into the packing machine through the closed pipe by their own gravity, and are packaged and packed. They are then transported to the warehouse by the robot for sale.
