This is a straw pelletizing plant in Uganda project, and it is also our latest fuel pellet processing project in Uganda. At present, our projects in Uganda have covered the processing of livestock and poultry feed, grass feed, fish feed, straw feed, biomass fuel and organic fertilizer. In addition, it also includes products such as straw grass drying system and straw crushing system.

OVERVIEW

Biomass resources are renewable resources. Biomass solidification molding fuel, as a commodity energy, completely solves the problem of burning crops everywhere, seriously polluting the environment and causing a large amount of resource waste.

It can completely replace the crop straw directly burned by farmers, and partially replace coal ash, oil, natural gas and other mineral energy. It can be developed and utilized on a large scale, which is of great significance to alleviate the current energy shortage, ensure energy supply, improve the level of rural energy use, and change the living environment of farmers.

Under this situation, the project client, an agricultural product company, decided to invest in the construction of a straw pellet processing project, using corn straw to produce biomass pellets to provide high-quality fuel for urban and rural life and production.

After the completion of the straw pelletizing plant in Uganda project, the sub-project can achieve an annual output of 60,000 tons of straw pellets. The specifications of straw pellets are block combustibles with dry matter density of 1.1-1.2t/m3, moisture content less than 15%, and diameter of 8-10mm.

The construction period of this straw biomass pellet production line project is from June 2018 to May 2019, with a construction period of 11 months. The labor quota of this project is 15 people. The annual planned working days are 250d, with two shifts per day and 8h per shift.

Main Engineering Production Workshop Raw materials are directly transported to the factory by farmers and suppliers. After entering the factory, they are all stacked in the closed production workshop. Each transportation is 600t, which meets the production needs for 2 days. The raw material storage area in the production workshop covers an area of ​​300m2, the stacking height is 3m, and the total stacking volume meets the raw material stacking needs.
Finished Product Warehouse The finished product storage volume in the factory area is 4000t, and the storage period is 15d, which meets the finished product storage needs.

Heating The heat used in the production process is a 1t/h biomass and methanol dual-purpose hot air furnace, with biomass pellets and methanol as fuel. In actual production, biomass pellets are the main fuel, and methanol is used as a supplementary fuel in case of biomass combustion failure. It is purchased as needed and is not stored in the factory. The waste heat of the hot air furnace is used for domestic heating, which can meet the heating needs of the factory.

Construction period

All raw materials needed for the construction of the main project of this straw pelletizing plant in Uganda project can be purchased by the customer locally. The water and electricity supply during the construction period is sufficient and the construction site is open.

Operation period

The raw materials required for this project are purchased by the customer company in a unified manner. The supply is sufficient to meet the raw material needs of the project. The consumption of raw and auxiliary materials during the operation period of this project is detailed in the table below.

Uganda straw pellet production line design

  1. Raw material collection: Collect discarded straw as raw material for pellet fuel. Common straw raw materials include rice straw, corn straw, wheat straw, etc.
  2. Crushing: Crushing the collected straw, usually using a straw crusher to cut the straw into a size suitable for pellet fuel production.
  3. Granulation: Send the dried straw to the pellet machine for pelletization. After the biomass pellet machine heats the straw to a high temperature, it forms a uniform pellet through the process of extrusion and cooling.
  4. Cooling: Cool the pelletized pellet fuel to reduce the temperature of the pellets and increase the density of the pellets. Generally, a cooler is used for the cooling process.
  5. Screening: Screen the cooled pellet fuel to remove unqualified pellets.
  6. Packaging and storage: Package the screened qualified pellet fuel, usually in bags or bulk, and then store or transport.
