Raw materials and energy consumption

Waste wood such as sawdust, sticks, and wood: mainly comes from waste sawdust, sticks, and wood generated by furniture manufacturers, of which sawdust accounts for about 80% and the rest accounts for 20%.

The collected waste wood in this wood pellet plant in USA is untreated, such as oiling, spraying paint, etc. It is clean waste generated by log processing by furniture manufacturers, not contaminated with other pollutants, and the moisture content is controlled below 16%. Waste wood that does not meet the moisture content requirements will not be used.

The wood chips, sticks, wood and other waste wood used in this 5-6 t/h wood pellet factory in the United States project are uncontaminated, and the moisture content meets the relevant requirements.

Therefore, no mud removal, nail removal, sorting, drying and other processes are set. Among them, the sticks and wood are small in size, and most of them can be directly put into the slicer crusher for crushing. A small amount of large size, not exceeding 1%, is cut by hand-held electric saw.

1. Slicing and crushing:
   The wood chips, sticks, wood, etc. in the raw material area are sent to the slicer through a closed conveyor belt for crushing. The slicer is a closed crusher, which is discharged after being treated by a self-contained bag dust collector.
   The sliced raw materials are sent to the sawdust machine to process the raw materials into sawdust. The sawdust raw materials do not need to pass through this section and can be directly granulated.
2. Extrusion molding:
   The crushed wood chips are sent to the biomass pellet machine through a closed conveyor belt. The wood pellet mill machine is the key equipment of the wood pellet production line. The raw materials contain a certain amount of cellulose and lignin. Lignin is a structural monomer in the material and a polymer.
   It has the function of strengthening cell walls and bonding cellulose. Lignin is a non-crystalline material. The main part is insoluble in any solvent at room temperature. It has no melting point, but has a softening point. When the temperature reaches a certain value, the lignin softens and the bonding force increases.
   Under a certain pressure, the cellulose molecular groups are dislocated, deformed, and extended. The adjacent biomass particles inside are recombined and pressed into shape. The temperature in this process is controlled at 80~100 degrees Celsius. Electric heating is used, which will generate water vapor and noise.
3. Packaging and warehousing:
   The extruded biomass wood pellets have a higher temperature and are sent to the product area via a conveyor belt. After packaging, they are stored for sale.
