The original output was 500 tons/year. Based on the prospects of wood pellets, the client of this project invested 110,000 US dollars to upgrade the existing equipment and facilities at the current site to build a construction project for the utilization of renewable resources with an annual output of 10,000 tons of biomass pellets.
This wood pellet making line in Ecuador project is divided into production workshop, raw material area, finished product warehouse, office and living area.
The production workshop is located in the middle of the factory, the raw material area is located on the south side of the factory, the finished product warehouse is located on the north side of the east side of the factory, the living and office area is located on the southwest side of the factory, and the factory entrance and exit is located on the west side of the factory.
The labor quota of this wood pellet production line project is 10 people, working 330 days a year, 8 hours a day, and no food and accommodation in the factory.

The main construction content of this wood pellet making line in Ecuador project is to rely on the existing processing plant, dry material warehouse, finished product warehouse and other facilities, demolish the existing wet material warehouse, and build a new wet material warehouse to expand the storage capacity.

Note: Sawn timber and wood chips are divided into dry materials (moisture content 11%-20%) and wet materials (moisture content 40%-50%), with wet materials accounting for 20% and dry materials accounting for 80%.
Brief description of Ecuador Wood Pellets Process:
Wet sawn timber and wood chips with a moisture content of about 40%-60% are crushed by a crusher and then put into the wet material bin. Due to the high moisture content of the wet material, there is no need to consider the dust generation in the crushing 1 process.
The wood pellet making line in Ecuador project uses a dryer to dry the wet material. The drying equipment uses self-produced biomass pellets as fuel, and the hot air generated by combustion dries the wet material. After drying, the material enters the dry material bin through a closed pipe.
The waste gas generated in this process includes fuel combustion waste gas and drying dust, which are collected and treated by a bag dust collector and discharged through a 20m exhaust pipe (DA002). The grass ash generated by the combustion of biomass pellets is a general solid waste and is sold as agricultural fertilizer.
Dry sawn timber and wood chips with a moisture content of about 11%-20% are directly crushed by a crusher and then put into a dry material bin. The dust generated in this process is collected and processed together with the granulation dust by a bag dust collector.
The dry material is transported to the granulator through a closed screw conveyor. Strong pressure friction between the material and the roller and template in the wood granulator generates a large amount of heat, which heats the material to about 80°C and presses the material into biomass pellets.
After the biomass pellets are naturally cooled, they are sent to the packaging area by a belt conveyor for packaging and sale. The dust generated in this process is collected and processed together with the crushing dust by a bag dust collector.
The wood pellet making line in Ecuador project uses existing crushers, granulators, screw conveyors, belt conveyors and other equipment, eliminates existing dryers, and adds 2 dryers to increase the processing capacity. The details are as follows:
