The biomass wood pellet production line in Côte d'Ivoire project covers an area of 4000m2 and a construction area of about 2600m2. It mainly includes 1# plant (1F) and office area (1F). Wood pellet processing process design

The main production process of this large scale biomass wood pellet production line in Côte d'Ivoire is briefly described as follows:

  1. Raw materials: The purchased raw materials for this biomass pellet production line project come from wooden pallets and abandoned demolition materials.
  2. Nail removal and crushing: The cutting mechanism of the nail removal crusher is a cylindrical knife roller, and a number of knife hammers are installed on the surface of the knife roller parallel to the axis to crush the input raw materials into pieces. The nails in the raw materials are sucked away by the strong magnetic roller behind the crusher.
  3. Wood chip fine powder: The crushed material is further crushed by a pulverizer to meet the material standards required by the granulation process.
  4. Granulation: Use a biomass wood pellet mill to granulate the crushed particles. The granulation process is a physical process. No adhesive is added and no chemical reaction occurs.
  5. Cooling: The simple cooling storage bin is mainly used to cache and cool the finished pellets. This process does not produce pollutants.
  6. Screening: The products from the granulation process are screened by the screening equipment supporting the wood biomass pellet mill. The qualified products screened out are packaged by an automatic packaging machine, and the unqualified products are reused as raw materials in production.
  7. Finished product packaging: After cooling and screening, the finished products can enter the packaging process. This biomass wood pellet production line in Côte d'Ivoire project uses an automatic packaging scale to package the finished products in packaging bags and put them in the finished product area for sale.
  8. Unqualified product recycling process: The unqualified products generated in the screening process of this project are directly reused in the wood chip fine powder process for crushing and granulation, and are not disposed of as solid waste.

Plant layout

The plant area of this biomass wood pellet production line in Côte d'Ivoire project is generally rectangular with an east-west axis. The main entrance is located on the north side of the plant area.

From the main entrance to the inside, the following areas are arranged in sequence: unloading platform, office area (located in plant 1#), production workshop (located in plant 1#), finished product storage area (located in plant 1#) and raw material storage area (located in plant 1#); the temporary storage room for hazardous waste of the project is located on the east side of plant 1#, which is an independent temporary storage room to avoid interference with production activities in the workshop.

The raw materials enter the raw material storage area on the north side of plant 1# through the unloading platform. The template crusher is next to the raw material area. After the raw materials are crushed, they are shoveled to the hammer mill crusher by a forklift.

The crushed materials are then shoveled to the feeding port of the wood granulator by a forklift. The granulated finished products are transported to the finished product warehouse by a conveyor belt, and are automatically packaged and directly stacked in the finished product storage area on the southwest side of plant 1#.

The overall plan of the entire workshop is divided into zones according to functional requirements. The layout of the wood pellet plant is neat, the main process is smooth, compact and reasonable, and the land is saved to the maximum extent.

The transportation of raw materials is conveniently connected to the roads outside the factory area, reducing the cost and environmental pollution of logistics round-trip transportation, reducing the impact on production, saving investment, and achieving the purpose of strong production and convenient management; and the layout of the building is carried out in accordance with the fire protection specifications of the building design to meet various requirements of production, transportation, and fire protection.

At the same time, the open space in the factory area is used to plant green trees and set up green belts to improve the green quality of the production environment and beautify the factory environment.

② Improve the environmental management and monitoring system: Establish and improve the environmental management and monitoring system. In future production activities, do a good job in the maintenance and repair of environmental protection treatment equipment to prevent leakage, bubbling, dripping, and leakage. At the same time, strengthen risk prevention awareness. If the facilities cannot operate normally, they should be repaired immediately.
Environmental risk prevention measures (1) The chemical placement area and hazardous waste storage room in the workshop are equipped with plugging materials, fire-fighting equipment, fire sand and other emergency rescue materials, and the workshop hangs a clear warning sign of "No fireworks"
(2) Video surveillance is installed in the hazardous waste storage room and workshop to conduct real-time and effective video detection, video monitoring, transmission and recording of on-site equipment and personnel activities.
(3) The operating procedures for waste gas and wastewater treatment are formulated and posted on the wall, and the operation control is strictly carried out in accordance with the requirements of the operating specifications to prevent excessive waste gas emissions caused by misoperation.
(4) The temporary storage room for hazardous waste is set up in accordance with the requirements of the "Hazardous Waste Storage Pollution Control Standard" and is windproof and anti-infiltration;
(5) The biomass wood pellet production line in Côte d'Ivoire project is equipped with an accident emergency tank on the south side of the plant area, with an effective volume of not less than 38m3, and supporting construction of an accident wastewater collection pipe network and rainwater cut-off valve, etc.
