The physical and chemical properties of straw, wood and landscaping waste: non-toxic, odorless, non-polluting, non-radioactive. Due to the capillary effect of the fiber structure, the water inside the system is quickly transferred to the surface and interface of the slurry, so that the water inside the slurry is evenly distributed and the crusting phenomenon is significantly reduced.

And the bonding strength and surface strength are significantly improved. This mechanism also plays a significant role in crack resistance due to the reduction of tension during the drying process.

Production process design

Based on the customer's raw materials and needs, RICHI engineers designed the biomass pellet production line process for the Serbian customer as follows:

1. Chipping:
   Since the purchased crop straw, waste wood, landscaping waste and other biomass raw materials are large in size, they need to be crushed by a chipper (the length after processing is about 3-4cm), so that the biomass particle size becomes smaller and is convenient for pelleting.
2. Magnetic separation:
   The crushed mixture is sent to the magnetic suction shaft through a conveyor belt for magnetic suction.
3. Crushing:
   The crushed raw materials are crushed by a crusher (the length after processing is about 1cm), and the crushed materials are sent to the pellet machine through the crusher through a conveyor belt.
4. Magnetic separation:
   The crushed raw materials are subjected to secondary magnetic suction through a large magnetic suction block above the conveyor belt.
5. Pelletizing:
   The crushed mixture enters the biomass pellet machine for extrusion granulation, and the powder is extruded into a columnar finished product.
6. Finished product:
   During the extrusion granulation process, the biomass generates a certain temperature, and enters the finished product warehouse after natural cooling on the conveyor belt, and is directly packaged in bags.

Public and auxiliary projects

• Water supply
  The water used for the 1-1.5t/h straw wood pellet production line in Serbia project is supplied by the local tap water department, with a water consumption of 72m3/a, mainly for domestic use.
• Drainage
  The drainage of the construction project implements the "rainwater and sewage diversion" system. Rainwater is collected and discharged into the Pugang River on the east side; domestic sewage is pre-treated in the septic tank and then connected to the sewage treatment plant, and the tail water is discharged into the local river.
• Power supply
  The annual power consumption of the construction project is 500,000 kW·h, which is provided by the municipal power grid. The power supply is reliable and can meet the needs of the construction project.
• Storage and transportation
  The raw materials and finished products of the 1-1.5t/h wood straw pellet production line in Serbia project are stored in the raw material area and the finished product area; the transportation outside the factory relies on social professional logistics companies.

Source of raw materials

Taking into account the supply of raw materials and logistics costs and other factors, in general, the biomass raw material mobile phone adopts agricultural and forestry production and wood processing waste within a radius of 50km around the plant site.

Different raw material characteristics determine different collection methods. In the raw material collection, storage and transportation link, the raw material collection method will directly determine the storage mode and transportation plan of the raw materials.

• Waste wood and landscaping waste are both wood biomass fuels, and their supply is not seasonal, so they can be purchased continuously all year round. Among them, waste wood is concentrated in the waste yard of the processing enterprise, and it is purchased all year round by signing a waste purchase agreement with relevant processing enterprises. For the branches, leaves and roots discarded in the forest after landscaping, Serbian customers entrust greening-related enterprises to purchase them during the cleaning period.
• The purchase cycle of rice and corn straw is synchronized with their purchase season. In addition to the purchase by local paper mills, most of the above soft straws are placed in the fields.
  Since the planting areas of the above soft straw resources are widely distributed, their ownership belongs to different farms. It takes a lot of manpower and material resources for customers to purchase directly from farmers, and the efficiency is difficult to guarantee.
  Therefore, the middleman system is adopted. The middleman can use the information he has and the personal connections with farmers to arrange the purchase in a planned and organized manner in advance.
  For customers, this purchase method uses the power of middlemen to provide them with stable and reliable purchase services, which can not only reduce the purchase cost, but also organize the purchase of raw materials in a planned manner.
• The main industries around this project include agriculture, flower and tree planting, and board processing enterprises. Farmers and enterprises around the project provide sufficient raw materials for this straw wood pellet production line in Serbia project.
  During the crop maturity period, the straw (wheat, rice, etc.) in the raw materials is dried and bundled by farmers themselves (moisture content 10%~15%) and sent to the raw material warehouse of this project.
  The branches and twigs produced by flower and tree growers and the waste wood produced by board processing enterprises are also regularly transported to the raw material warehouse by relevant individuals and enterprises.
  This project strictly prohibits the recycling of boards with paint or containing various adhesives and their compounds. During the storage of raw materials, attention should be paid to fire prevention, waterproofing, and mildew prevention.

Environmental protection granulation measures

The investment in environmental protection of this 1-1.5t/h straw wood pellet production line in Serbia project accounts for 6.5% of the total investment. The project governance measures will be completed at the same time when the construction project is completed.

As long as there are appropriate processing equipment and sites, it can be produced. This provides technical feasibility for Serbia to develop such production lines‌.

  The cost of obtaining straw and wood is relatively low. After processing them into pellet fuel, economic benefits can be obtained through sales. This not only creates jobs for Serbia, but also provides a way for local residents to increase their income, which helps to improve the living standards of local residents.

  Serbia's economic cooperation with China continues to deepen, and China's technology and experience in the field of biomass energy can provide reference for Serbia.
