Why does the pellet machine vibrate a lot when making pellets? What is the situation of easy slip?

Why does the pellet machine vibrate a lot when making pellets

  • Reason 1: The ring die is blocked, out of round, and only part of the material is discharged; the gap between the roller and the ring die is too small or damaged, resulting in inability to rotate.
  • Suggestion: Check or replace the ring die, adjust the gap between the rollers, the normal gap should be 0.2-0.5mm, and the roller should be adjusted to a state of seemingly rotating but not rotating.
  • Reason 2: There is a problem with the bearing, the equipment is not running normally, resulting in a high working current.
  • Suggestion: Replace the bearing.
  • Reason 3: The coupling is unbalanced, and there is a deviation in the height of the left and right, which makes the gear shaft oil seal easy to damage.
  • Suggestion: Balance and correct the coupling.
  • Reason 4: The discharge of the material at the discharge port is uneven, resulting in a larger current fluctuation of the pellet machine.
  • Suggestion: Adjust the feeding speed and discharge the material evenly.
  • Reason 5: The main shaft is loose, and the production process moves back and forth, causing the roller to swing significantly, making pelletizing difficult and noisy.
  • Suggestion: Tighten the main shaft.
  • Reason 6: Before using the new ring die roller, it needs to be ground.
  • Suggestion: Eliminate inferior ring die.
  • Reason 7: Wear of large and small gears, or replacement of gears, will also increase noise.
  • Suggestion: It takes a period of running-in.
  • Reason 8: The raw materials used have changed, or the raw materials are difficult to pelletize. The raw materials are too dry or too moist, which will cause abnormal discharge, making it difficult to pelletize and causing vibration.
  • Suggestion: Adjust the raw materials to the appropriate moisture.
  • Reason 9: The chassis and steel frame structure of the pellet machine are not firm and are prone to vibration.
  • Suggestion: Strengthen the structure and choose high-quality pelletizing equipment.
  • Reason 10: The tail of the modulator is not fixed firmly and is loose.
  • Suggestion: Check and reinforce.
  • Reason 11: The ring die is not assembled correctly, causing the ring die and the pressure roller to collide and vibrate.
  • Suggestion: When assembling the ring die, use a steel ruler to measure the distance between the ring die and the transmission wheel rim. The upper, lower, left and right dimensions must be consistent to prevent the ring die from being installed skewed, causing point collisions and vibrations. It is recommended to use a dial gauge to check that the end face jump is less than or equal to 0.3mm.
  • Reason 12: Foreign matter in the ring die can also cause collisions and abnormal noises.
  • Suggestion: Check whether there are foreign matter in the ring die in time. If there are any, clean them up immediately to prevent irregular wear and mechanical damage to the pressure roller and the ring die.

Reasons for the roller to slip easily

  • Reason 1: The raw material is too coarse and the moisture content is high. After entering the mold, the mold will be blocked and slipped.
  • Suggestion: Control the particle size of the raw material and keep the moisture content at 13-18%.
  • Reason 2: The bell mouth of the ring die is ground flat, causing the mold to not eat the material.
  • Suggestion: Check the wear of the hoop, transmission wheel and bushing of the pellet machine. Adjust the concentricity of the ring die installation, and the error should not exceed 0.3㎜.
  • Reason 3: The compression ratio of the ring die aperture used is too high, which causes large discharge resistance of the die and is also one of the reasons for the slippage of the roller.
  • Suggestion: Reduce the compression ratio of the die. When the roller slips, the pellet machine must not be allowed to idle for a long time, waiting for it to discharge by itself. When there is no material feeding, the pellet machine must not be allowed to idle unnecessarily.
  • Reason 4: The concentricity of the roller and the main shaft is not good.
  • Suggestion: Check whether the roller bearing is installed reasonably to avoid the roller shell eccentrically biased to one side.
  • Reason 5: The roller bearing is stuck.
  • Suggestion: Replace the roller bearing.
  • Reason 6: The roller shell is not round and the roller shell quality is unqualified.
  • Suggestion: The roller shell should be replaced or repaired, and a high-quality RICHI roller should be selected.
  • Reason 7: The roller spindle is bent or loose.
  • Suggestion: Replace or tighten the spindle, and check the roller spindle when replacing the ring die and roller.
  • Reason 8: The working surface of the roller is misaligned with the working surface of the ring die (cross-edge).
  • Suggestion: Check whether the roller is installed improperly and replace it. Check whether the eccentric shaft of the roller is deformed. Check the wear of the main shaft bearing or bushing of the pellet mill.
  • Reason 9: The new mold is fed too quickly.
  • Suggestion: Adjust the speed to ensure that the roller has sufficient traction to prevent the roller from slipping, and check the wear of the ring die and roller in time.
