RICHI Helps Sri Lanka Turn Waste Rice Husks Into Treasure And Harvest "Green Wealth"

Energy saving and carbon reduction promote development. This Sri Lankan rice company has taken a "income-increasing" road of "eating" rice husks and "spitting" resources, turning waste into treasure. Walking into this small biomass pellet production line built by RICHI MACHINERY, rice husk raw materials, the residue of rice processing, are continuously entering the pellet production line.

At the processing site, rice husks are automatically dispersed from the silo into the conveyor belt. After extrusion and pelletization by the pellet machine, the waste rice husks are transformed into cylindrical biomass pellet fuel with a diameter of 6-8 mm, becoming a hot clean energy.

The production line uses two MZLH520 rice husk pellet machines, equipped with conveyors, silos, discharging and intelligent control systems. This mature production line equipment is stable and reliable, ensuring the quality and output of pellets.

These biomass pellet fuels produced from rice husks can be directly burned in boilers instead of coal for power generation or heating. The burnt ash can also be used as organic fertilizer for agricultural production, which meets the requirements of green development and ecological development.

The workshop processes about 12,000 tons of biomass pellets per year, all of which are sold to the outside world, with an average benefit of about US$20-40 per ton. These processed pellets can not only be used for heating for enterprises and farmers, saving heating costs, but also play a role in dust prevention and environmental protection, improving the living environment, providing excellent clean energy products for the surrounding areas, and achieving a "win-win" in economic, social and ecological benefits.

The Sri Lankan rice company used to sell rice husks directly to processing companies or farmers, with low output value and inconvenient transportation, which also had an adverse impact on the surrounding environment. Now, after being processed into biomass pellets, it can be comparable to coal, and the price is also very advantageous.

At present, the rice husk biomass pellet production line project has achieved stable production and can produce about 5 tons of rice husk biomass pellets per hour. From yellow pollution to "golden profit" to "green benefit", in this virtuous cycle, RICHI has helped the economic and ecological benefits of the entire rice industry chain to emerge one after another.
